Jenny Craig Food Costs

Jenny Craig food costs are the key factor when planning your dieting budget. The actual program may sound cheap. It’s usually advertised as a dollar for every pound you lose. However, you need to buy Jenny Craig brand food to follow the diet. This pre-packaged food can be quite expensive and can be around $500 a month for a single person.

There is a lot of variation in the type of food available from the company. If you want to keep your Jenny Craig food costs low, you can choose from some of the more cost effective items. For example, you can choose a box of mixed berry bars for $1.99 or apple cinnamon waffles for $4.69. The budget savvy individual will eat more berry bars for breakfast than waffles. For lunch, the soups and chowders tend to be cheaper than heavier meals, like cheesy potatoes and chicken. When dinner rolls around, beef chili with beans is one of the cheapest items on the menu. Keep in mind that you need to buy fresh fruit and vegetables locally, on top of your Jenny Craig food costs. This needs to be accounted for in your budget. The prepared meals do not have the same nutrients as fresh vegetables and fruit so these are a necessity.
